A. Yes we do. Depending on your dates and market we can offer you a very competitive rate for on-site staffing.
Q. What is the talk distance of the radio equipment?
A. 2-way radio coverage with Motorola UHF 4 watt radio equipment is up to about 1 mile outdoors. Indoor coverage varies based on construction of the building where the equipment is being used. Large Convention Centers are normally covered 80% or better. In hotel/ building applications, at least multiple floors are covered, usually up to about 15 stories above ground level. Larger coverage areas are possible with Sprint Nextel iDEN walkie talkies. The Nextel system is great for coast to coast communications as long as there is sufficient signal strength to the cell site towers. Many Hotels and Convention Centers are wired up to boost Nextel signals. If you have specific coverage questions please call 1-800-996-1810. We have experience in many different venues throughout the United States; chances are we are familiar with your specific event location.

A. Over 50% of our rental fleet consists of 32 channel radios with LCD screens and the rest of the fleet have at least 16 channels.

A. Yes they are. We rent Motorola PR400 LTR capable radios to join your existing UHF Trunking system.

Multi unit gang chargers are always included with any rental more than 1 day. Single unit desktop chargers can be offered at no additional charge upon request.
Q. How long do the batteries last?
A. On average our Motorola radio and Nextel batteries last about 12-14 hours with standard usage. We only rent out ultra high capacity batteries with our equipment.
Q. How many batteries do I get with an order?
A. We always include a minimum of an additional 50% of the order size at no additional cost (10 radios = 5 spare batteries) If you require more spare batteries due to the nature of your event, please note your request in the comment section when requesting a quote.

A. We are proud to feature Motorola brand walkie talkies and Motorola brand iDEN NEXTEL radios exclusively to our customers.
Q. What is a Repeater?
A. A repeater is installed in a fixed location with the intent of coverage enhancement. Multi-story buildings are covered more thoroughly and dead spots are removed. The building’s construction, number of floors and the presence of steel and concrete determine range.
Q. What is the difference between Nextel Direct Connect and Group Connect service?
A. With Direct Connect service you connect to one person at a time. All your users are loaded into the phonebook for easy access. With Group Connect you can set up multiple talk groups and connect to as few as three people at once or as many as 100 people at once just by the push of a button. Group Talk is very similar in use and function to traditional walkie talkie setups. You can get the message out to a large group of people in many different locations all at the same time.
Q. I don’t need the cell phone feature on the Nextel, can it be locked out?
A. Yes, when cell phone service is not needed, we lock out the dialing pad so outgoing or incoming phone calls are restricted. 9-1-1 can always be called from our NEXTEL units in case of an emergency.

A. We do offer International Dialing. However, for your protection this feature is not activated unless requested.
